Kensington Palace – Historic Royal Palace (over 300 years)
Kensington Palace is set within the tranquility of Kensington Gardens. It has been the official residence of Diana Princess of Wales, Princess Margaret and Princess Alice. This is where Queen Victoria born and spent her childhood. You will see Queen Victoria’s Wedding dress and jewellery and discover her family life. This intriguing garden planted in 1908 during the reign of Edward VII. It re-creates the formal gardens that existed at Kensington Palace in the 17th century. Samuel Pepys admired it, amongst others, as ‘ a might fine cool place…with a great layer of water in the middle’. Spring planting will include an elegant palette of tulips and scented narcisii through a carpet of ‘forget me nots’. Watch video of the White Garden.
The Orangery Cafe and Restaurant provides wide range of refreshments from morning coffee and light lunches to afternoon tea. The also have a Menu for children and the food is Home-made daily.
Fashion Rules Exhibition
Open until summer 2015, this exhibition showcases rare and exquisite dresses from HM Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana Princess of Wales.
NOTE – Closed from 24th – 26th December. Children under 16 go free. This tour is non-refundable once booked.
